I got an email today, & well....

After being out of school since spring 2000, I'm going back to school in the fall. Northwest Vista College has accepted me! Now I just need to wait on news of financial aid.

~sigh~ I pray I do well & with little stress.

So, for those of you who hadn't heard, Camelot Fantasy Faire was cancelled for this year. Good idea. Give it some time to work out the kinks in the planning. One problem. Apparently, the general manager for the Faire decided to cancel it without talking to the Council. Now the Council is pissed at him & has decided to split with the person who just might have the most knowledge on running a business. I can understand being irked. I just think it would make more sense to have tried to talk with him about it first.
But wait...There's more. I also found out that they (being the Council) are somehow under the impression that their Cast Director & Assistant (being myself & DeLanea) got fed up & quit. See, THAT pisses me off. People on the Council have my phone number & e-mail address. Did ANYONE contact me to see if this was really the case? Did everyone forget how much I was saying I was committed to this Faire? Did everyone forget how much I was looking forward to shaping Arthurian Legend the way I thought it should be? Did everyone forget that I have talked SEVERAL times about how much this would help my resumes, both acting & regular?
Apparently they did, because I never even knew there was a Council meeting yesterday I could have been at & no one has called me, even now. Nearly 24 hours ago I called the main contact I have had on the Council...She still hasn't called back.
I assure you, I had not planned on quitting, but if someone doesn't get their head out of their ass soon...I might
